Into the Woods: Trees in Illustration

Into the Woods: Trees in Illustration

Many children's stories and fairy tales take place in a wood or forest. Trees also appear in books on landscape and natural history. This display shows a variety of illustrations featuring trees and wooded landscapes, with watercolours by Beatrix Potter and Arthur Rackham, alongside drawings by E H Shepard for A A Milne's Winnie the Pooh.
